What’s the opportunity? (Role)

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives across Hereworks’ Smart Building and Technology portfolio. This role is central to delivering on the company’s strategic growth plan by targeting multi-national companies and increasing recurring revenue through SLAs and our SaaS platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and contributing to the achievement of profit growth targets through innovative sales strategies and market development. This role requires a proactive, commercially minded individual with a deep understanding of AV and/or smart building technologies and a passion for driving scalable growth.

What will you be doing? (Responsibilities)

  • Lead strategic growth initiatives across Hereworks’ Smart Building and Technology portfolio in Ireland.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with multinational companies, focusing on high-margin and scalable projects
  • Drive recurring revenue growth through Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and SaaS platforms  
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, consultants and industry stakeholders
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to support the company’s profit growth targets
  • Collaborate with bid, marketing and technical teams to shape compelling proposals and presentations
  • Represent Hereworks at industry events, networking forums and client engagements to enhance brand visibility and market reach
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasts to support commercial planning
  • Contribute to lessons learned sessions and continuous improvement of sales processes
  • Champion Hereworks’ core values and promote a culture of innovation, alignment, and scalable growth

What do you need? (Requirements)

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within technology or smart building or construction sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to achieving targets
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to company values and policies

Practicalities

Salary: Depending on Experience  

Location: Ireland Office (Ashbourne), Remote Working and Client sites as required.
